Kimono is a form of dress worn by everyone in japan until the middle 19th century.
As the time went by, slowly but sure Kimono weren't the only one dress to wear.
Western fashions changed the japan's dress pattern.

Not only for the woman, men also wear Kimono.
So many types of Kimono for us to wear, and it can change depends w the occasions and seasons.
Sometimes Kimono still use for a wedding or graduation ceremonies.
No doubt tha' the price of Kimono could reach more than one million yen. SO fantastic, rite?

If ya want to choose wut type of Kimono ya havta wear, ya must know wut's yar purpose of wearing tha'.
Any Kimono hav a different cues which symbolize each type of Kimono.
There r formal Kimono (fo' wedding, event) and casual Kimono (to wear everyday), the pattern and the colors are determined the level of formality itself.
Based on the type of Kimono, Kimono can show age, marital status and level of formality of the event ya're attended.
These r the name of Kimono types for women, but i'll explain each of 'em later;
-> Kurotomesode
-> Irotomesode
-> Furisode
-> Homongi
-> Iromuji
-> Tsukesage
-> Komon
-> Tsumugi
-> Yukata

And there r two types for men, Montsuki [contains w the symbol of their family, it used for very formal events] and Kinagashi [w/o family's symbol, it can use everyday for informal situation].

Complementary parts fo' kimono are;
Hakama, Geta, Kanzashi, Obi, Tabi, Waraji, Zōri
